What is the vihue-lista?

It is a place to interchange experiences, opinions, or any kind of information about early plucked strings (vihuela, renaissance lute, baroque lute, renaissance or barque guitar, theorbo, archlute…) whether it be about their performance practice, construction, history, repertory, or literature, among other things.

The list is a public forum in Spanish that is open to any person related to this theme. Independent of whether you are a member of the Society or not,you can access its contents and/or publish new messages.

In addition to its main function as a forum for public debate and the exchange of information, the list has spaces to store images, databases, create questionnaires, and to gather interesting links.

The moderator the Vihue-lista is Juan Carlos Ayala, a founding member of the Sociedad de la Vihuela and former member of the board of directors.

The list was created on 28 February, 2000 and currently boasts 379 members and a total of 5500 messages published since its inception, representing some 45 messages per month, or 550 per year.
