Madrid. — EVANGELINA MASCARDI (tiorba) en Madrid el jueves 10 de noviembre, Organized by Samamadrid, the Sociedad de Amigos de la Música Antigua de Madrid, the concert will serve as the launch of Angelina Mascardi’s new CD entitled FERITA D’AMORE devoted to the theorbo music of  Bellerofonte Castaldi (1580-1649). Poet, lutenist and composer of great individuality, Castaldi’s music published in 1622 and 1623 is now emerging from obscurity. The Sociedad de la Vihuela takes pleasure in offering the possibility for this extraordinary music to be heard in Madrid Iglesia de San Pedro el Viejo, Calle del Nuncio 14. • 21 – 24   —    International Lute Festival. Füssen, Germany. Organised by the Deutsche Lautengesellschaft, the festival includes a meeting of the various lute societies from around the globe. There will also be a two-day conference “Lute making in the Füssen-region and Northern Italy during the 15–18. Century, migration and interactions among lute makers.” More information.
