VI Annual Meeting of the Sociedad de la Vihuela — Sigüenza (Guadalajara)

The VI Annual Meeting of the Society will be held in Sigüenza (Guadalajara) from the 9th to 12th October

• Ariel Abramóvich with Alejandro Sosa Chacón
• Dúo Fabordón
• Peter Martin
• John Griffiths
• Anibal Soriano with Isabel Gómez Serranillos
• Andrés Cea (closing concert at 1pm on Tuesday)

Other Activities:

• round tables coordinated by John Griffiths and Cristina Bordas on Instruments, Performance and Music Editions revolving around (but not exclusively) the period of Antonio de Cabezón (with the participation of harpist Nuria Llopis and organist Andrés Cea),
• meetings of members and the AGM
• presentation of instruments by their makers
• exhibition and sale of instruments
• books and score published by the Sociedad de la Vihuela and the Lute Society
• guided visits of the Museum of the “Centro de estudio de la vihuela de mano José Luis Romanillos”
• visit to the historic part of the city and the musical archives of the Cathedral

…and lots of time to talk, eat, drink, and listen to music

Pencil it in to your diaries and make your hotel reservations. The meetins, round tables, and day-time concerts will be held in the Casa del Doncel and the Hospedería Porta Coeli.
